A conversation with Yim Sarang
Lorena Antoniazzi Women’s Community
a journey through inspiring women who embody our core values.

You chose an artistic path early on. Can you tell us about it?
It all began with my curiosity. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by how people express themselves—not just through words, but through movement and fashion. That awareness of the intrinsic connection between expression and attraction deeply shaped my career and the choices I’ve made.
How did your professional career begin?
It started when I was four years old, captivated by the grace and beauty of ballet, to which I dedicated much of my life—eventually rising to a leadership role at the National Ballet of Korea. Driven by a desire to explore beauty in all its forms, I later competed in Miss Korea, where I celebrated my country’s elegance and culture. Today, my passion extends to many art forms, and I continue my journey as an actress in Korea.

What’s life like as a woman in your field?
Being a woman in the arts is about balance. It demands passion, perseverance, and the ability to claim your space and time. I believe authenticity is key: the ability to listen without losing sight of your goals.
What does elegance mean to you? What makes you feel elegant?
It’s not just about how we appear, but the confidence and well-being we carry within. For me, it’s in the details—the sensation of harmony with everything around us. It’s something spontaneous and timeless, needing no ostentation to reveal itself.

What values define you?
I’m not drawn to what’s fleeting; I choose what’s meaningful and enduring. Even in fashion, I admire brands that blend quality, comfort, and elegance naturally, creating pieces for authentic women who find beauty in every detail.
Dostoevsky wrote, “Beauty will save the world.” How would you define beauty?
To me, beauty is presence. It’s not just about appearance, but how you make others feel, how you express yourself, and how you honor details. True beauty is timeless—something that emerges naturally, without artifice.
